  PROJECT FLAVOR
WHAT KIND OF HERO ARE YOU?
A CALL TO ADVENTURE
The call to adventure is the first step in the Hero's Journey. This brings the hero into the unknown world. This room beckons the audience to enter the exhibit and see what the Hero's Journey is all about. Also displayed along the walls in the stage and every other stage is a series of stylized "cave drawings" depicting the stories of three known Hero's Journey; Luke Skywalker, Jesus, and Gilgamesh(a Babylonian myth). Also projected onto the reflection pool is images from the step of Revelation, to give the audience a feeling of premonition. This step is immortalized by Obi-Wan Kenobi's words "You've taken your first step into a larger world"
THE CHALLENGES
The Hero reaches an early stage in his journey where he encounters challenges and obstacles that might steer him away from his objectives. This room gives the audience the option of taking one of three obstacles. Each challenge deals with a deep repressed human fear and also identifies the three tier system of realities in most myths; Heaven, Earth, and Hell.
INTO THE BELLY OF THE WHALE
The user enters the proverbial "Belly of the Whale". This idea originated from the story of Jonah. His faith was tested when he was swallowed whole by a whale. This represents the Hero's passage into the first otherworldly aspect of his Journey. The hero may literally pass into a new dimension. This challenge plays off the fear of eternal damnation as the belly is a room with no feasible exit, where the hero could reside until his ultimate demise.
THE ABYSS
The abyss is the stage of the Hero's Journey where there is no turning back. The hero musk make a "Leap of Faith" here and trust in his own skills, and that of his guide to make it through this stage. The room plays off the idea of extreme darkness and light. The audience walks in here and looks over an edge and sees no feasible place for footing. Audio guides will give them enough confidence to make the "Leap of Faith" into the unknown.
THE REVALATION
Here is where the audience comes to the realization of where they have been headed the whole time. This room will have a projected city on all walls giving the user a feeling of a grandiose environment that spreads on for as far the eye can see. In the middle of the massive metropolitan area is one lone piece of vegetation. This represents the "diamond in the rough" or if the journey was about obtaining an artifact this would be that artifact.
THE RETURN
The return stage of the Hero's Journey is when the Hero returns to the known world and reflects on his journey. To illustrate this aspect footage will be projected onto an entire wall. The footage will be of famous Hero's Journey's inter cut with different journey's of the audience as they passed through the exhibit. This will help identify the Hero's Journey with a known story so the audience can get a better grasp of what the journey is all about
